Pregis is seeking experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at our brand new facility in Bethel, PA!

Job Summary

Reports to the Quality Manager. Responsible for maintaining continuous product quality during production and guide workflow by monitoring packaging work force’s quality inspections and packaging process. Performs quality inspections at regularly prescribed intervals and documents accordingly across multiple production lines. Helps employees in the department perform their duties correctly. Helps TMS converting team operate at or above designated run speeds.

  • Perform and document hourly inspections and run profile retain samples per TMS Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Monitor mailer production, including packaging, for defects and inaccuracies per TMS quality standards; correct and report any non-conformities and initiate hold procedure when needed.

  • Train Packers on TMS Quality Assurance (QA) SOP; regularly conduct audits to ensure quality inspections are being performed.

  • Work with Packaging Coordinators and Operations to resolve issues per TMS QA SOP.

  • Communicate effectively with upcoming shift to ensure smooth handoff; keep open dialogue with staff to minimize delays.

  • Help to identify raw material defects, captures relevant information (lot codes, samples, etc.) and forward to Quality Manager.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least two years’ experience with Quality in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Education: High School Diploma or credentialed equivalent in English & Mathematics.

  • Must be able to communicate verbally in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)

  • Strong organizational skills: ability to delegate, plan, and schedule accordingly

  • Ability to read a ruler, scale, and micrometer

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions including basic mathematical skills

  • Overtime as needed daily or weekends based upon business needs

  • Working Conditions: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 30 pounds and endure elevated temperature levels.
