This funky, creative and driven - but totally down to earth - digital and creative staffing agency (the TOP in the US, actually!) is looking for a stellar Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing Detroit team! Our salespeople work at a fast pace with advertising agencies and mid-sized corporate businesses.


Our Account Directors listen to clients’ pain points and suggest the best Aquent solutions including managed services and staffing. You’ll act as a subject matter expert and begin with a holistic assessment of your clients’ digital marketing and advertising initiatives. You’ll recommend flexible solutions that deliver speed and scale on demand. As a “hunter” you’ll have resources, training, fantastic products, and the industry’s best reputation blowing at your back.

Our ideal candidate lives in the Detroit metropolitan area so that when it's safe to visit clients, you can easily do so.  We'd certainly consider non-Detroit folks too.  We all work from the comfort of our own homes.


Ways you’ll continuously add value:

  • Build an effective consultative relationship with clients and key contacts during the sales process. Key contacts include C-suite decision-makers in Digital Marketing, Creative Services, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Diversity

  • Collaborate with others to develop sales proposals designed to meet individual client needs

  • Negotiate expectations, terms, conditions and pricing of services with new clients 

  • Generate opportunities from client meetings, referrals, networking, and social media

  • Partner effectively with your recruiting team who will identify the right talent for the job 

  • Spearhead responses to RFPs


The right person for this role will have:

  • 4- 9 years of professional experience working as part of a team, interacting directly with clients, preferably at a staffing agency or ad agency 

  • Prior success selling multiple services to a variety of departments/divisions across a large organization. 

  • Passion for advertising, interactive and design trends

  • Strong quantitative reasoning skills are critical. You must be fast on your feet to work out pricing models

  • Excellent troubleshooting and negotiating skills
