Cash Application Specialist

This role is best for someone with 1-3 years' experience in cash applications, A/R or light bookkeeping.  

Our new Cash Applications Specialist will work from home in a collaborative team environment.

As a Cash Application Specialist, you’ll add value every day:

  • Timely and accurate posting of cash receipts to customer accounts and balancing the cash applied on a daily basis to bank account balances and amounts reported in the Treasury workstation

  • Processing & reconciliation of daily lockbox, EFTs, CC Payments & manual cash deposits for auto-posting into system

  • Resolving exceptions that require manual intervention in order to apply the payment

  • Identifying payment trends (short pay/overpay/no pay) and communicate to Supervisor

  • Resolving issues associated with cash posting by working in a customer service team oriented manner with both external and internal parties

  • Meeting monthly Accounting close deadlines and process month-end journal entries in the General Ledger

  • Other duties and tasks may be assigned as needed to meet business needs


Key factors that influence your success:

  • Associate's degree in Business or a related field 

  • 1-3 years of experience with cash application and/or customer service

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially strong Excel skills

  • Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to analyze large sets of data
