We’re looking for a highly organized person to serve on our Legal Team as Contracts Manager. We're not looking for an attorney. This position supports teams throughout North America with various aspects of our contracts-review process. The right candidate will be a team player who has contract experience, extraordinary organizational skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to independently manage a wide range of initiatives. Someone with 4-8 years experience reviewing corporate contracts would be well suited.

You’ll work exclusively from home in a supportive team environment.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and assist the commercial contracting process from request, review, negotiation, approval, signature and archival.

  • Assist in the drafting and/or review of legal and transactional documents, including confidentiality agreements, and customer contracts, consulting with department managers and Legal Counsel, as needed.

  • Respond to contract related inquiries from other departments, and internal sales personnel providing guidance on contract issues

  • Provide support to the company’s sales team in coordination with the legal, finance and sales support teams

  • Maintain database of review requests and signed agreements 

  • Carry out administrative functions, such as entering information into electronic databases, organizing and maintaining files 

  • Support the implementation of contract management technology

  • Other legal support tasks and projects as needed

  • Self-motivated and resourceful team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills,

  • Ability to effectively multi-task several complex assignments with tight deadlines 

  • Interacts effectively with all levels of personnel

  • Provides quality work under tight deadlines

  • Ability to Understand, identify and explain contractual risks

  • Strong computer skills (Google collaboration tools, mail, calendar, sheets, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all internal and external affairs

  • Attention to detail and organization


Qualifications 

  • Minimum of five (4+) years of paralegal or contract administration experience, including maintaining, drafting, negotiating and editing various contracts 

  • BA/BS Degree, with preference given to candidates with a Paralegal Certificate or completion of a Paralegal degree program. We're not hiring an attorney.

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Business oriented, with the ability to identify acceptable risks

  • Ability to establish oneself as a “trusted expert” among colleagues

  • Desire and ability to work independently 

  • Self-motivated and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with staffing, software as a service, data privacy, and employment is helpful.  

  • Experience with contract review and negotiation in support of sales, as a member of a corporate legal or Contracts Department is preferred
