Job Summary

Builds and modifies tools, dies, jigs, molds, and fixtures using precision bench and machining operations.

Job Duties

·         Conduct tests for completed tools and/or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications

·         Cut, shape and trim material to specifications

·         Design jigs, fixtures and templates as needed

·         Grind and adjust different parts to properly fit them together

·         Select metals to be used based on properties

·         Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

·         Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

·         Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

·         Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

·         Perform work under general supervision

·         Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff

·         Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter

·         Typically require high school diploma or equivalent and 2 to 4 years of experience
