Account Manager - Consumer Packaged Goods

Alta Resources is hiring Account Managers for one of the most recognizable consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies in the world. As an account executive with Alta, you’ll be responsible for managing an established sales portfolio and all related sales activities on behalf of our client. You’ll work directly with wholesalers, distributers and retailers to ensure our client’s products are in front of consumers.
- Starting at $45,000, based on experience, plus incentives & bonuses

What You’ll Do:
Meet sales & customer service objectives using appropriate selling tools, specifically consultative selling techniques.
Educate customer on products. This includes discussing new product launches, product features & benefits to promote sales, product changes and new distribution of existing products. You may also have to work with customers on pricing changes, discontinued items and recalls. There will be opportunities to up-sale on product offerings, as well.
Create and manage account plans, strategic plans, promotional plans and trade spend.
Provide customers product line reviews to insure the customer's sales are growing and aligned with Nielsen market information when available.
Analyzes sales promotion results to determine effectiveness and ROI of promotional campaign. Also analyze sales statistics to better support customers in promoting of products.
Qualities of a Successful Account Manager
Displays a high level of confidence, enthusiasm and a positive attitude with the desire to succeed professionally and exceed customer expectations.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to give presentations in front of customers and clients, along with the ability to establish rapport, build relationships and loyalty with external and internal customers and coworkers.
Highly motivated with the ability to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task effectively and execute tasks with minimum supervision. Strong organization and time management skills.
Strong analytical and logical decision-making with the ability to problem solve in a timely and effective manner. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Takes ownership. Able to escalate issues to the appropriate person and follows up accordingly to the customer.
Meets deadlines and key metrics. Drives results in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Must be willing to assist others and build strong relationships to achieve client and Alta-driven goals.
Travel as required. In order to meet the travel requirements, must have a personal credit card and an available credit limit for expenses which are reimbursed
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher
3-5 years of stable sales or relevant work experience is required. Industry experience or any other service related industry experience is highly desired.
