POSITION PURPOSE:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is responsible for providing a broad range of financial support to the growth and effective management of the company and its various business units. This role is responsible for financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for all departments. The role requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, extreme attention to detail, and consistently accurate, high quality financial analyses. Ensures Briggs Equipment standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Lead a team of analysts to support business units and company with clear, accurate, and timely monthly performance analysis and reporting, by creating requested reports as well as suggesting reports that would enhance decision making for the business units and company
2. Utilize Power BI and other reporting tools to design and implement dashboards and other aids to facilitate user-generated reports
3. Ensure one source of truth by reconciling all ad-hoc reporting back to the general ledger
4. Conduct analyses and reporting for corporate functions including monthly financial analysis, reforecasting, variance analysis, pipeline analysis, and graphical summaries of business unit financial performance
5. Coordinate financial and operating metrics across the company to communicate performance results quickly and effectively
6. Lead planning and forecasting as part of annual corporate-wide budgeting processes
7. Manage or perform periodical or ad hoc financial data analysis, queries, reconciliations and reports as needed from the company’s senior management or to satisfy external client or audit requests
8. Assist with the month-end close process when necessary, including journal entries and account reconciliations
9. Mentor, train, and develop a team of analysts to provide best in class service to the organization
10. Perform other related duties as assigned 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Knowledge & Competencies:
• High proficiency in MS excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, tables and graph production), MS PowerPoint, and Power BI
• Excellent written, verbal and communication and presentation skills 
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to details and high level of accuracy 
• Ability to influence and work in a support role
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Strong analytical skills, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills 

Previous Experience/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting 
• 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis
• 2+ years of experience in supervisory role 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment 
• Frequent use of hands to manipulate the keyboard, telephone, files and other equipment
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
