Umyuaq Technology and our partners are looking for a qualified Electronic Security Systems Specialist to join our team at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida. The successful candidate will join a team of diverse disciplines supporting rebuild efforts following the 2018 Hurricane Michael devastation. Specific tasks for the Electronic Security Systems Specialist include:

  • Reviewing the operational status of sensor subsystems ensuring all required testing procedures are followed.

  • Ensuring MAJCOM/SF and AFSFC (ANG/A4SX for ANG forces) are advised promptly of any base/site activities that will impact the IBDSS program. This includes, but is not limited to, mission changes resulting in increase or decrease of resources, reconfiguration of resource areas, and construction of facilities on or in the vicinity of current and/or planned sensor locations.

  • Ensuring all maintenance requirements are documented and promptly reported to the servicing maintenance organization.

  • Monitoring nuisance and false alarms and when necessary request assistance from the

  • maintenance organization to resolve problems and deficiencies. As part of trend analysis, track light and weather data associated with NAR/FAR yearly to account for seasonal and environmental impacts.

  • Coordinating with maintenance and PL area/Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility or Special Access Program Facilities management functions to ensure timely access/escort maintenance actions and responses are available to support the IBDSS equipment and components.

  • Maintaining T.O.s and commercial manuals that describe equipment components and operating procedures for IDS in use. Additionally, the required T.O.s must be on hand. (T-3). Note: SF units need not maintain T.O.s and commercial manuals if they have 24-hour access to them at another agency, such as the Communications squadron. TOs include, but are not limited to: T.O. 00-35D-54, USAF Deficiency Reporting, Investigation and Resolution.

  • Monitoring and evaluate the number of work orders associated with individual interior, exterior, approach zone or individual resource sensor points exceeding the nuisance and false alarm rates. Pay particular attention for increases in work orders over a given period of time (one year for interior sensors, one month for exterior sensors).

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Posting IDS Warning Signs.

  • Alarm Verification Codes.

  • Logging Openings and Closings of Alarmed Facilities.

  • Testing Assistance.

  • Proficiency Exercise Assistance.

  • Annunciation and Display Tests.

     

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience.
