Vista Global Solutions (VGS) is looking for a qualified A/V – VTC Engineer for Video Teleconferencing support at Brooke Army Medical Center, located on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, TX.

 

Job description

We’re seeking a Senior Audio/Video – Video Teleconference Engineer to provide day-to-day management of the BAMC IMD VTC program • Provide oversight to junior AV/VTC staff • Provide user education/training on available/issued equipment • Document user requests and technician actions in government System of Record (ServiceNow).

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in the designing and engineering of future conference rooms, classrooms, and training rooms, and/or review and modifying current rooms, by providing feedback and communicating with the end users to identify needs and recommend equipment to meet customer and organizational needs.
  • Troubleshoot analog and digital audio-visual systems to include video teleconference systems.
  • Maintain and manage all VTC endpoints in the Government enclave; i.e., software updates, inventory tracking, and day to day system monitoring.
  • Maintain and manage digital and analog AV equipment. 
  • Schedule and de-conflict meetings utilizing a Government provided software scheduling system for over 200 conference/classroom assets.
  • Maintain and support equipment i.e., projectors, monitors, matrix switchers, document cameras, wireless and wired microphones, wireless keyboard and mouse, screens, control systems, mixers, amplifiers, digital signal processors, uninterrupted power supplies, lighting, video teleconference units, digital recorders, and miscellaneous other AV hardware.
  • Provide support for on and off-site events to include conferences, symposiums, change of commands, promotions, and special events.
  • Operate VTC equipment and schedule/facilitate conferences.
  • Test and monitor audio video and VTC equipment performance.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use and repair of VTC and AV equipment.
  • Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintain an uptime greater that 98% for all associated systems.
  • Provide monthly report of completed work orders and tasks to government lead.
  • Maintain accountability of all property book inventory associated with AV systems.
  • Develop a bill of materials (BOM) required for each work order/project. The BOM shall list item description, part number, quantity, unit price and total cost.
  • Perform on-call duty on evenings, weekends, and holidays to provide guidance and support to customer support technicians on resolution of program/applications problems and/or failures and may be required to return to the work site to resolve critical problems. Contractor shall submit overtime documentation to the first line supervisor for review, first line supervisor will send documentations to the COR for approval.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of audio-visual background.
  • Experience a understanding in computer operations; i.e. current MS Windows, MS Office applications, and desktop VTC or Web based applications.
  • Experience of video teleconferencing equipment and capabilities, networks, policies and protocols.
  • Experience in leading a team of junior AV/VTC support staff.
