Vista Global Solutions (VGS) is looking for a qualified Video Illustrator Graphic Support to support our contract at the Brooke Army Medical Center, located on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, TX.

 

Job description

We are seeking a Video Illustrator Graphic Support who will be a contributing member of the Creative Department Design Team, is quick to learn, and eager to grow with the company. This position will assist in the conception, design, and production of projects such as print, digital and social, as well as photo/video planning. This designer adheres to the brand graphic standards and works closely with the other Designers and members of the team, along with cross-functional marketing, e-commerce, and business teams.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Log all jobs in Government ticketing system.
  • The contractor shall produce layouts and illustrate a wide variety of complex visual requirements and create abstract designs for types of media to include video and internet sites.
    • The contractor shall operate a wide variety of systems and equipment to design publications, poster presentations, portable foam displays, web sites, 3D animations, vector based animations, and marquee display. Create computer generated artwork and illustrations, interactive multimedia, and social media.
    • The contractor shall produce graphic artwork in training manuals, news articles, reports, promotional materials as well as signs, charts, posters and promotional materials such as coins, t-shirts, key chains, bags, mugs, banners, displays, stickers, buttons and DVD covers.
    • The contractor shall produce computer generated graphics; develop ideas and design posters and signs, and digital signage for the targeted audience. Illustrate parts of the human body and medical tools/equipment for medical training.
    • The contractor shall produce medical illustrations from actual procedures, operations and autopsies.
    • The contractor shall develop, coordinate and implement a comprehensive graphic design program in support of the strategic communications.
    • The contractor shall access the Internet for downloading type and finding free professional photos from various web sites, for military purposes, or other requests.
    • The contractor shall follow all Federal copyright laws as well as DOD/Army/BAMC publication regulations.
    • The contractor shall prioritize jobs produced by customer/department. Contact the customers after their jobs have been completed.
    • The contractor shall remain in contact with the requestor/customer on the status of a request and contact the requestor/customer when a job is completed.
    • The contractor shall distribute completed jobs to customers through the mail room bins, by customer pick-up, or by procedures established by the contractor and the requestor/customer.
    • The contractor shall utilize the most cost-effective use of materials used for projects.
    • The contractor shall develop, review, and maintain procedures to be used by requestor/customers and the EMIC pertaining to job submissions and completed jobs distribution. The Government will review new and changed procedures and give the final approval before implementing.

Qualifications:

• Experience in video editing, which also includes videotaping, audio recording, replicating taped and recorded footage and conversion to other media.

• Experience with graphic and visual design and photographic rules including leading lines, the rule of threes and elements of design to build strong compositions and storyboarding and scripting.

• Experience with professional photographic equipment, digital single lens reflex (SLR) cameras, interchangeable lenses and flash equipment as well as portable lighting.

• Have the physical ability to carry and transport the equipment, stand for extended periods of time and hold camera equipment for an extended period of time.

• Experience with Adobe CS5 or higher, especially Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Encore, Flash, Audition, Sound booth or similar software.
