TITLE: Experience Manager

REPORTS TO: General Manager and Assistant General Manager
CAREER PROGRESSION: Assistant General Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: Experience Leads, Experience Specialists

The Experience Manager supports the Assistant General Manager and General Manager through a forward-thinking approach to the venue’s experience by cultivating an environment that is engaging and inspiring to guests and staff alike. While on duty, they are responsible for overseeing the Experience Specialist staff, coaching the Experience Leads and upholding daily Color Factory brand and operation standards, to assure a positive guest experience from start to finish. 


EXPECTATIONS:

People & Development

  • Builds and maintains productive partnerships and relationships of trust with all members of leadership and staff. 

  • Provides meaningful feedback, sets clear objectives and expectations.

  • Develops, coaches and counsels Experience Specialists and Floor Leads. 

  • Executes shift meetings that are well-planned, collaborative, educational and motivational.

Guest Experience

  • Demonstrates exemplary customer service, leading by example.

  • Cultivates an environment of genuine connection for our guests by inspiring team to deliver exceptional experiences that are engaging, efficient and personalized. 

  • Challenges and inspires the team to elevate every aspect of the experience through service and presentation standards to create a clean, inviting atmosphere for the guest.

  • Encourages and demonstrates adaptability by positively effecting change and enabling the team to successfully execute a shared vision.

  • Maintains proper safety and procedures.
     

Aesthetic Understanding & Application

  • Preserves existing brand standards established by the creative team to ensure the highest possible quality of presentation and cleanliness. 

  • Innovates and improves brand standards and processes, as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of relevant leadership experience in a demanding, high-volume environment with a large team.

  • Must be detail-oriented, punctual and reliable

  • Must manage time effectively, exhibit strong problem-solving skills, work well with a team and exhibit excellent customer service skills

  • Must be inclusive and discerning 

  • Must have experience in mediation and effective conflict resolution.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. 

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

  • Must have open availability (including holidays & weekends). 


About Color Factory:

Color Factory is a collaborative interactive exhibit that debuted in San Francisco in August 2017. What was intended as a month-long run unexpectedly flourished as a celebration of color and creativity that lasted for another eight sold-out months. We have since opened our flagship in New York City in August 2018, where we’ve seen consistently sold-out crowds. In 20,000 square feet, we feature brand-new participatory installations of colors we’ve collected around the city— hues that invite curiosity, discovery and play.

In October 2019, we opened in Houston, Texas. Some of our favorite artists, creatives, designers and makers have teamed up with us to tell their unique color stories and engage all of the senses in unexpected ways.

Color Factory provides a unique experience carefully designed to be enjoyed by all ages. Through guided activities, interactive installations, and special treats and surprises we hope to connect our guests to the colorful moments around New York, Houston and in their own daily lives.
