Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Financial Risk Analysis Manager / Director as part of the Risk Management team. Our team oversees all aspects of risk management including P&L oversight, credit underwriting, statistical modeling, and data analytics. This position manages the risk performance and overall profitability of the Cardmember Usage and Retention programs.  You will perform deep dive analysis by revenue segments, product segments, offer types, and other KPI related metrics.  Overall program / channel level ad hoc analyses are often needed.  You will identify opportunity to grow the program volume without negatively impacting the program profitability.  You will also develop and manages the delinquency and profitability forecasting models.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Evaluate the Cardmember Usage and Retention programs utilizing P&L and related analysis tools.
  • Develop profitability optimization strategies and implement the related tactics alongside with the program teams.
  • Forecast account performance, revenues, and costs related to the Usage and Retention program initiatives/tests/roll-outs.
  • Oversee a team of analysts to support Card Member Usage and Retention program profitability optimization.
  • Share findings in PowerPoint presentations with conclusions and recommendations for senior management.
  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of team’s analysis.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders from across the Bank.
  • Ensures the timely coordination and completion of projects.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Decision Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or related field. (advanced degree preferred)
  • 5+ years analytical experience in Banking, Finance, or related field.
  • Intellectual horsepower with problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis and profitability drivers.
  • Proficient in financial modeling procedures.
  • Working knowledge in data mining large databases.
  • Working knowledge in predictive modeling to support risk, fraud, collections, credit lines, and marketing strategies
  • Self-starter, who can work independently with a high degree of organization on several projects at one time.
  • Sufficient self-confidence and ability to propose new ideas and solutions.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).   



Preferred (Not Required):

  • Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of consumer credit card industry experience
  • 5+ years advanced use of at least one of the following: Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle, or SAS
