The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical, reporting, and project management support to the Manager, Director and Sr. Vice President.  This individual will prepare presentations for executive management, analyze business segments and prepare analytical tools and reports to monitor financial performance, as well as partner with the Operations, Sales, Accounting, and IT teams on strategic initiatives while actively engaging in monthly variance analysis and participating in the Company’s annual budgeting process.

Serve as key liaison between internal departments and finance for assigned line of business(es)
Identify, analyze, and communicate to management the financial performance of the business(es)
Use existing SQL queries to obtain customer data
Create monthly commentary explaining variances to prior months, prior year, budget, and guidance 
Develop, monitor and report on key performance indicators (‘KPIs’) 
Develop and maintain a rolling forecast that will be used to project monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance of the business(es)
Drive process standardization, prioritizing improvements that increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting
Assist in the monthly calculations of compensation plans
Participate in strategic assignments targeted at improving overall profitability of the company by providing analytical tools and reports to support decision making
Partner with operations, sales, accounting, IT, or any other support services on strategic initiatives
All other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting required
Experience with SQL or Macro Development preferred but not required
Master’s degree preferred, but not required
Strong analytical skills
Superior technical skills with all Microsoft suite applications with advanced knowledge and experience in Excel
Experience with QuickBooks or Microsoft Great Plains preferred 
Knowledge and understanding of forecasting and budgeting models
Understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting systems
Experience in designing and building data mining models and multi-dimensional reports
Experience in developing financial commentaries to explain variances, and developing financial and operational presentations to executives 

Must possess comfort in learning, training, and engaging with others virtually through Microsoft Teams and Zoom
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
