Manager of Healthcare Projects (Clinical Integration)

We are seeking a highly motivated leader to join our Community Practice team in the capacity of Clinical Integration Manager.
Under the direction of the Director of Community Practice Operations for the Community Practice Division (CPD), this position will manage projects related to new ventures and strategic initiatives. The Clinical Integration Manager will manage integration projects/resources/schedules, create presentations and manage documents linked to the support of CU Medicine’s clinical and business initiatives. The individual in this position will plan, organize, and support activities aimed at strengthening the medical staff relationships within CU Medicine, the CU School of Medicine and affiliate hospitals. This position will also be responsible for directly supervising all CPD Integration projects and the Integration Project Coordinators (2).
Responsibilities of the Clinical Integration Manager include but are not limited to:
- Plan and manage projects of various size involving multiple tasks and business groups, including but not limited to CU Medicine, CU School of Medicine Departments and affiliate hospitals.
- Direct multiple projects simultaneously while monitoring and reporting project statuses, to include analysis of current and future business processes.
- Manage Integration Project Coordinators to ensure deliverables are accurate and of the highest quality.
- Develop, organize and manage group projects involving a variety of internal and external professionals.
- Develop, organize, and manage project definitions, plans, and scopes of work while maintaining quality standards of performance, functionality, cost, and efficiencies.
- Direct and manage all deliverables specified in the project definition and ensure accurate preparation of reports which include issue identification, alternative solutions, and clearly stated recommendations.
- Prepare and convey project findings in a compelling manner through the preparation of reports and customer presentations.
- Coordinate and manage the work of vendors, contractors, and consultants collaborating with project implementation in an effort to enhance current and future business processes and clinical programs.
- Ensure projects meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Compile and interpret financial statements and data.
- Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or related field with 3+ years’ experience leading or managing healthcare project management teams. Master’s degree is preferred, as is Project Management Professional certification (PMP). Must have experience with multidisciplinary project management in complex administrative environments. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Visio required. Experience with MS Access and/or relational databases desired. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will be diplomatic and exhibit superior soft-skills. Must be comfortable presenting and interacting with audiences ranging from outside vendors/salespeople to groups of experienced medical professionals. Maintenance of a flexible schedule that may include early morning and evening meetings is required. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload. Must be a resourceful self-starter.
