Job Introduction
The Director of Tech Support manages and leads key processes focusing on continuous improvement for the customer experience. Continuous staff development programs which enhance employee engagement, service, knowledge, skills and morale are a key component to being successful in the role. Tactical emphasis is placed on providing technical support of customer’s equipment and retention, quality management, workforce planning, recruiting, coaching and training. The successful candidate will be measured by call efficiency, staffing utilization, acceptable turnover, and financial performance. .

Main Responsibilities
Provides dynamic leadership that mentors, develops, and guides team members to efficiently leverage the value of every call for account management, retention of clients/customers 
Drives thoughtful and prompt resolutions for executive escalations
Deliver results against a defined scope of work that includes measurable ROI, strategic innovation, and performance reporting
Responsible for leading and deploying new initiatives and executing on complex operational processes
Leads and maintains a team including efficient recruiting, training, coaching, recognition, performance standards, staffing levels and supervision
Identifies potential process, control or compliance gaps and leads initiatives to remedy the issue and mitigate associated risks
Recommends procedures, modifies documents, and coordinates implementation of proper control and compliance procedures
Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to regulatory, product/service, and/or customer changes
Expands the Quality Process to focus on systematic issues impacting performance
Diagnoses, recommends, and executes operational transformation efforts to significantly improve customer experience and operational excellence
Focuses on quality process engineering and operational process transformation
Thoughtful, key contributor to operational strategy discussions with product and LOB owners
Flexible and willing to respond to unanticipated issues and constantly reprioritize based on business and customer demands
Builds the operating model and playbook of best practices around improving performance and delivering a higher degree of predictability and customer satisfaction
Evaluates situations, identify gaps, recommend controls/products to achieve strategic objectives, and “tell the story” succinctly in order to gain support and champion change

Qualifications
Proven innovative help desk leader with extensive performance improvement experience 
Has successfully evaluated internal help desk, sales and support processes and workflows and has clearly revamped/optimized/monetized internal processes
Expertise in quality process re-engineering, customer satisfaction, and operational process transformation 
Familiarity with CRM and analytical tools (i.e. Salesforce, Verint, ServiceNow, Jira) 
Six Sigma certification preferred
Strong communication and influencing skills, experience working with cross-functional teams and global external partners
Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or equivalent education preferred
5-8 years of related work experience in similar field required

Our Strategy

FLEETCOR is a growth company, and we employ a simple three-prong strategy for growing our business:

  • More Customers. We invest more than $200 million per year in sales and marketing, predominately focused on new customer acquisition. We continue to scale existing sales channels and headcount, enable our sales people with demand generation and other tools, and launch new distribution channels both internally and through partners such as ERP software providers, telematics companies, and banks. We will also grow our customer base inorganically through acquisitions.
  • More Spend. We seek to leverage our existing customer relationships and capture greater share of their business payment expenditures. As such, we have developed various “beyond” initiatives, where we extend the utility of an existing payment product without degrading the core value proposition of the original product. As such, a customer can “buy more stuff” without sacrificing the controls and reporting which attracted the customer to our product to begin with. For example:
    • Our Fuel card customers can enable their cards to allow non-fuel purchases relevant to their business, like allowing a painting crew to buy supplies at a home improvement store, so they can finish the paint job.
    • Our Toll tag customers can use their in-vehicle RFID tags to make other “on the go” purchases like parking, fuel and fast-food.
For our customers, these product extensions reduce payment friction, saving them time and operational headaches. For FLEETCOR, these product extensions can increase our share of wallet with existing customers and can increase our products’ appeal and applicability to previously-unserved customer segments (e.g., non-toll urban dwellers). We also create new product offerings, developed internally or in conjunction with partners, to cross-sell to our existing customer base.
  • More Geographies. We continue to seek attractive entry opportunities in major international markets, which we intend to pursue through acquisitions and partnerships.
