JOB SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for creating a data-driven approach to digital marketing initiatives for internal business initiatives across the organization. This position will lead all facets of direct-to-consumer email marketing programs that drive the fan user journey and hit organizational goals. This position is responsible for driving insights through research, segmentation and testing to understand the Green Bay Packers fan base for our internal business units. This position serves as a resource to all Packers business units and works closely with them to ensure that digital marketing and fan research are aligned with and support their business plans.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with Packers business units in the creation of a consolidated email marketing plan that supports their business goals and key performance indicators.  Marketing plan to include content such as overall campaign schedule and budget, individual campaign goals, customer segments and campaign messaging that is in compliance with overall brand representation.
  • Executing the tactical email marketing campaigns
    • Analyzing and mining the customer data warehouse and creating segmented target lists. Cleansing customer data as necessary, to help maintain integrity in the customer data warehouse.
    • Working with external and internal creative resources to develop effective designs for all emails and supporting landing experiences. Utilizing Packers CDW and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to execute the send and monitor the results.
  • Developing reporting to measure digital marketing campaign performance. Analyzing digital marketing results to provide regular, accurate, and useful reporting on active campaigns, fan segments and historical view of performance.
  • Implementing continuous improvement activities including, but not limited to:
    • Continually working to optimize performance of campaigns through improved targeting, content, promotions and design testing strategies
    • Regularly optimizing the design, content, targeting & messaging of email communications. Utilize aggressive testing to maximize campaign performance and isolated campaign-driver effectiveness.
    • Maintaining familiarity with email marketing industry best practices and regulations, including CAN-SPAM laws and privacy/permissions practices.
  • Creating and measuring impact of fan acquisition programs for the organization. Including:
    • Creating fan authentication programs while driving fan experience.
  • Responsible for understanding the club’s audiences, preferences and brand affinity for all business units at the Green Bay Packers.
  • Creating, deploying and analyzing fan surveys, collecting internal survey data and presenting information to deliver actionable insights.
  • Working with the NFL to collect and disseminate findings of the Voice of the Fan Survey to internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage social media listening tools (Falcon.io) and panel-based intelligence platforms (comScore and Shareablee) to discover fan insights that will drive the fan journey and personalize business efforts to reach the various fan segments.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Marketing or related field is preferred. 
  • 1-3 years of experience in Email Marketing, Digital Marketing or Direct Marketing.
  • Background must include strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with a detailed understanding of email marketing operations, platforms, technology, campaign performance metrics, and deliverability issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with outstanding project and vendor management skills. Strong editing, proof reading, organizational, interpersonal skills required. Must be detail-oriented and set high standards for quality.
  • Ability to interact, work effectively across functional groups, work alongside and team with others is essential, as is the ability to navigate internal resources to generate results.
  • Independent self-starter with a sense of urgency, proven results orientation, initiative and an affinity for producing consistently high-quality work and yield in a manner that exceeds expectations. The capacity to juggle multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment is critical. A creative thinker with critical analysis and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility/adaptability and a knack for thinking on your feet will succeed in this role.
  • Expertise in email marketing laws, and email best practices, including contact strategies, design, A/B testing, delivery and deliverability issues, customer segmentation, and analytics/performance management.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.
  • Experience working with Tableau, Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics is preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.
