Richards Plumbing & Heating Supply, a division of Hajoca Corp, is growing rapidly and would like you to join the team at our Wyoming, Michigan location. We have been serving the West Michigan community for over 100 years offering the very best in wholesale plumbing and heating supplies and expert customer support. We are a close-knit group that works together to provide the best goods and services to our customers while offering a fun and fast paced work environment with opportunities for advancement.


We are looking for a hard-working and conscientious Counter Salesperson.  Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm.

As a Counter Sales teammate with Richards, your specific duties will include, but are not limited to:    

Pick Materials for orders, assemble and package the materials for shipment/pick up.
Assist customers who purchase and/or pick up merchandise.
Provide customers with reliable information regarding product specifications, pricing and availability.
Keep counter area and merchandise displays clean, neat, current, stocked and safely displayed.
Assist co-workers in servicing customers, including answering incoming calls, stocking merchandise in the warehouse and pulling orders for delivery.
Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a Counter Sales teammate, you must be service-oriented and have a high level of attention to detail. An unwavering commitment to safety is essential.


All interested applicants must possess:
High school degree or equivalent
1-2 years experience in customer service or counter sales; contractor sales preferred
The ability to learn to operate and demonstrate hand tools
The ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
The ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment
Know of, apply, and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
Valid driver’s license

 

Our ideal candidate will also:

•Have, or quickly develop, a comprehensive knowledge of product
•Possess basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word)
•Have previous experience using an inventory management system (Eclipse)

•Possess the drive to assist team members with other tasks and continuously look for ways to improve our operation
