Scope of Work

Under the direct guidance of the Personal Lines Processing Team Leader, the incumbent will provide administrative support for the insurance agency and may also provide back-up support to the Personal Lines Agents with processing payments.


Essential Functions (3)

  • Administrative Support:
    1. Answers phone calls for the agency and transfers them to appropriate parties
    2. Responsible for opening/sorting agency mail and sending to agents for review or response
    3. Processes client payments
  • Agency Account Maintenance:
    1. Processes routine policy changes (endorsements)
    2. Responds to billing inquiries automotive ID card requests and other transactional items
    3. Mails carrier requested questionnaires to clients and ensures completed questionnaires are returned to the carriers in a timely fashion.
    4. Enters and follows-up on non-pay cancelations and communicates to the applicable agent.
    5. Assists with billing of renewal policies and policy changes
  • Provides Claims Assistance to Agents:
    1. Enters claim acknowledgements, statuses and payment information

  • Understands, supports and adheres to applicable organizational policies/procedures and state/federal regulations
  • Consistently emphasizes the importance of teamwork in the department and company at large
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of company news and information
  • Responsible for completing required training and policy review
  • May serve on various committees
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks and duties
  • Assists clients on a one-on-one basis

  • Learn agency management system and become proficient in navigating carrier websites
  • Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Displays strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems
  • Prior knowledge of regulations within the financial services industry is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to change

Working Conditions/Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards 
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment
