Training Specialist

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

This position works with Kubota University personnel, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the quality of training deliverables and effectiveness of training operations.The position is responsible to effectively create, review, and publish course materials, including: how-to guides, training aids, workbooks, and manuals. This role contributes alongside KU and KTC personnel to plan, implement, and report on the effectiveness of instructor-led classes and other training activities.
 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

1. Provide centralized support for instructor-led training classes, including vendor management, participant communications, resource acquisition and scheduling, audio/visual coordination, and facilitation support.
2. Create and continually improve reporting methods for Key Result Areas with an emphasis on illustrating the returns on Kubota University’s financial and talent investments including managing and tracking of budget expenditures.
3. Create, proof, or edit training materials, including instructor/student guides, presentations, scripts and job aids used in Instructor-Led, virtual Instructor-Led, and Web-Based training.
4. Lead content management efforts for Kubota University publications and training materials.
5. Assist with administration of Kubota’s Learning Management System including learning object testing, recordkeeping and end user support.
6. Participate in Kubota University Kaizen activities, engaging with colleagues and stakeholders to identify and document opportunities for effectiveness and efficiency gains.
7. Perform other duties as needed, including training evaluation coordination, DocuSign administration, and training resource tracking.
8. Collaborate with KTC colleagues in Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Customer Support, and Dealer Development to enable the success of a variety of projects and task.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Education, or similar field is preferred, though an Associate’s degree with suitable relevant work experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years in curriculum development in a professional environment.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service):

• Most work will be conducted in an office environment using computer applications such as the MS Office Suite.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to sit/stand to use computers and similar office equipment.
• Must be able to travel independently.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Position is expected to contribute from the home office in Grapevine, TX.Remote work arrangements are not available. Position may include travel of up to 15%.This travel will be primarily domestic with the potential for infrequent international travel lasting a week or more at a time in order to collaborate with personnel affiliated with other Kubota business units.
