SUMMARY
Provide operational, billing, and sales support to the LTL services department, agents, field managers and customers


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness, gathering missing documentation as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, preferred
  • Minimum Experience: Five+ years of related experience

ESSENTIAL DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES and/or SKILLS

  • Provide operational, billing, and sales support to the LTL services department, agents, field managers and customers
  • Working knowledge and understanding of AS400, Banyan TMS, Orbit and Access software programs
  • Handle phone and email inquiries within a timely manner from Landstar agents & customers including track/tracing, usage of TMS, and assistance with freight claim process
  • Serve as primary carrier contact regarding LTL Accounts Payables issues and reconciliation
  • LTL rating and research regarding billing discrepancies and reconciling of carrier payments to clear aging reports for over 40 LTL carriers
  • Compile reports using AS400, Banyan and Access software to help reconcile carrier invoice variances
  • Access carrier websites and utilize customer service channels to research disputes and validate proper tariff application
  • Research and provide guidance on commodity classifications within the scope of the NMFC (National Motor Freight Classification) guide
  • Retrieve and interpret all carrier-specific rules tariffs
  • Assist with developing and distributing departmental communications and training
  • Conduct webex demos for current and prospective Landstar agents
  • Assist and advise agents and field staff on Best Practices and overall LTL knowledge and education
  • May occasionally travel
  • Other duties as assigned.
