SUMMARY

The ideal candidate would be a techno functional experienced leader with background in Tier 1 Financial ERP systems implementation and support.  This person is responsible for delivery of technical solutions involving planning, design, development, training and support of projects.   They manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Motivates and leads staff to accomplish goals. Ensures work meets deadlines and accuracy expectations, and is audited for SOX standards annually.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide strong leadership to the various team members through mentoring, guidance, interpersonal skills, teamwork and professional ethic.
  • Implement the support system and processes to provide a world class global ERP support infrastructure for the company's financial and related systems
  • Coordinate the implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, updates, patches, and fixes to assure optimal system performance, data integrity, and reliability
  • Serves as hands-on architect lead to identify and suggest approaches to resolve issues
  • Provide expertise around the realization of business requests and technical design specifications
  • Responsible for developing, distributing, supporting, enforcing, and integrating best practices and technology standards across the organization
  • Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed to meet required standards
  • Delegates work as needed to ensure all projects are completed accurately and timely
  • Provide guidance and coaching to individual contributors on day-to-day issues
  • Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties - may perform some daily tasks depending on volume
  • Set work schedules, approve weekly timecards, and time off requests for direct reports
  • Responsible for hiring and proper training of direct reports
  • Responsible for performance management, including annual reviews, goal setting and on-going feedback
  • Effectively communicate and work with internal and external customers
  • Ensure area goals are met and adhere to budget
  • Provide resolution for escalated customer issues
  • Regularly exercises independent judgment and discretion in daily activities and work directly related to department policies

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum 10 years of hands on experience with Tier 1 Financial Applications, preferably SAP
  • Strong hand-on experience in configuring ERP cloud applications for core financial modules
  • Must have experience of implementing and supporting global implementation with multiple ledgers, currency and business units
  • Ability to interact with senior leaders and adapt style as needed for technical or non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of general accounting and corporate financial reporting is preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, makes presentations and conducts meetings as needed
    • Experience with deployment and support of Tier 1 Financial ERP’s required
    • Demonstrated experience with leading cross-functional, cooperative efforts with team members across divisions
    • Define strategy to implement and support enterprise ERP systems
    • Plan integration strategies for the ERP and existing cloud systems
    • Present ERP solutions and integration plans to the executive team
    • Experience with close cooperation with the integration leads
    • Devise plans to sunset IBM iSeries platform
    • Experience in all phases of software development lifecycle
    • Experience in managing on-premise and cloud-based applications
    • Experience with Transportation Management Systems and Transportations Compliance Systems preferred
    • Knowledge of Agile process, preferred
    • Hands-on technical experience in software development or hardware management, preferred
    • Experience in performance testing on multiple server platforms, preferred

 

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Education: B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or relevant work experience
  • Minimum Managerial Experience: 5 years in managerial role
