Fiduciary Assistant DMHAS (FT)
Do you have a passion for helping others and experience in accounting/financial literacy? We are in search of a Fiduciary Assistant to work with Young Adults supported by Greater Bridgeport Mental Health Center’s YAS Program. This position will work alongside the Community Housing Coordinator to ensure the young adults have all appropriate State and Federal benefits for which they are eligible.
Other responsibilities include ensuring client and agency funds are maintained in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, management of Representative Payee checking accounts, client budget planning & education, expense tracking, account reconciliation/maintenance/monitoring and completion of benefit applications/requisitions/reports. Monitoring and maintain petty cash, and CSF debit cards, collecting and analyzing requests, and auditing and tracking receipts submitted for CSF purchases.
This position requires the ability to work independently but works collaboratively with all other program staff. Excellent time management skills, critical thinking, problem solving and analysis, taking initiative and organization are key qualities needed. Excel, Word experience necessary. A major responsibility of this position requires visits to various community sites as well as riding in motor vehicles. The possession and available use of a registered, insured vehicle is mandatory for this position
