Job Summary : Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

The Technology Support Associate is responsible for providing on-site first-level technical support for the computer systems and applications to users at multiple sites. Investigate and resolve software, hardware, and telecom problems of users in a high-demand environment.   

  • Provide level 1 support to Project HOME sites and users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies 

  • Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex issues to supervisor or technical staff 

  • Assist in the administration and support of the LAN, including data management and printing facilities 

  • Provide advice and training to LAN/WAN users as identified 

  • Logs and tracks all work requests using ticket tracking system 

  • Assist in software and hardware upgrades and new installations 

  • Assist with asset/inventory control of all hardware and software 

  • Assist with documentation to support IT environment and processes 

  • Assist the training of staff 

  • Assist in the coordination of projects 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Previous experience in a Level 1 Help Desk role and/or 2 semesters in an accredited MIS program that leads to a BA, BBA or BS or participation in a certification program that leads to Cisco IT Essentials Professional Certification and CompTIA A+ Professional Certification. 

  • Experience in PC Hardware configuration 

  • Microsoft 365 experience 

  • Experience supporting LAN’s, PC operating systems, and desktop software 

  • Ability to self-structure, self-motivated, and work independently to move projects forward in a timely manner  

  • Strong written and oral communication skills 

  • Ability to create and/or maintain systems and process documentation for end-users and IT department 

  • Ability to prioritize and control workload  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Ability to provide efficient transportation between sites 

  • Valid Driver’s License 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Moving of IT Equipment
