Quality Control Technician
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting each vehicle that goes out of service at the Illinois maintenance shop and filling out a checklist upon inspection of each vehicle; documenting cosmetic damage, condition of signage on each vehicle, functionality of seat belts, arm rests, cigarette lighters, etc. Some on-the-job training required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Identifying and resolving functionality issues of certain features in the ambulances. Ensure that all vehicles are fully functional before returning to service. Driving vehicles to and from the shop will be a daily necessity. At times, will need to drive vehicles long distances to inspections, outside vendors, etc.
Must have good driving record and provide motor vehicle report. Must have good communication skills and attention to detail. Must provide own tools.
Will be working in the Elmhurst maintenance shop alongside auto mechanics. At times, the job may require the Quality Control Tech to work without the use of a rotary lift or outside (in various weather conditions) based on volume of out of service vehicles.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is consistently required to sit; use hands, fingers, handle, feel; and talk, hear & see. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment with employees in 3 states in multiple locations. Travel to other company and incident locations may be required. Lifting requirements of a minimum of 75 lbs.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly in verbal contact with others and constantly works face-to-face with and around others. Consistently uses maintenance equipment such as personal tools, operates rotary lift, drives vehicles, and uses shop supplies (ie, light bulbs, fuses, wiper blades, tie wraps, screws, nuts, bolts, etc.)
