About this opportunity:                                                                                            

Plans develops, administers, and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day operations and assigned staff providing case management services for the Families First grant and Pathway of Hope program in such a manner as to ensure maximum benefits to clients, the community, and funding age agencies. Ensures the Pathway of Hope program is administered within established policies and procedures, including government grant and Salvation Army policies and guidelines. Builds new relationships with community agencies in the assigned service area and maintains effective working relationships with these community agencies for client referrals. Trains and mentors newly designated Case Management in the appropriate processes and procedures for the Pathway of Hope program.

Education and Experience:                                                                                                     

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Services or a related field
• Five years of experience performing responsible social services case management work with at least three years in a supervisory role.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  

Physical Requirements:                                                                                         

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Ability to read and comprehend legal terminology to determine compliance.  Ability to perform public speaking.  Ability to calculate figures and analyze mathematical computations with accuracy. Ability to lift or leverage innumerable boxes of food and other essential supplies. Ability to drive to assigned areas as needed. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, and equipment.  Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
