Boys & Girls Club STEM Program Programmer
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a STEM Program Aide Programmer, for the Oklahoma City Area Boys & Girls Club Summer Program, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the STEM Program Aide is responsible for helping The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club in achieving its mission of motivating young people and their families to reach their full potential academically, socially, physically and spiritually.The STEM Program Aide will act as a positive role model providing leadership and guidance to The Club members. The STEM Program Aide’s primary purpose is the improvement of learning opportunities for our members. The STEM Program Aid is an instructional leader who works in close collaboration with the Unit and Program Directors to provide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) based programming through small group activities and use of BGCA curriculum. Their role is to support program instructional/enrichment goals by ensuring activities are structured, age-appropriate, and contribute to priority outcomes
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to build effective and positive relationships with people of all ages.
Ability to lead and motivate people participating in The Club activities.
Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
Education and Experience
Associate’s Degree in a STEM, IT, Elementary Education or related field, or equivalent applicable experience or training.
Knowledge of youth development with a minimum of one year experience in youth programs.
CPR and First Aid Certified
Valid State Driver’s License
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, walking and running with frequent changes between activities.
