FSE - Electronic Technician (Contingent)
SUMMARY: Seeking qualified Field Service Engineer with electronics background to assess, maintain, and repair naval ships electronics systems and report findings to project team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
As a field service engineer, you will be expected to work under limited supervision, have strong problem-solving skills, interpret schematics, use manufacturer’s manual’s and use your knowledge of electronic circuit theory to troubleshoot systems.
Conduct Material condition Assessment (MCA), repair and maintain SPS-49 and SPS-55 radars, consoles and associated ancillary equipment.
Provide a detailed report on findings, required repair parts and recommendations.
Inspects and tests electronic equipment, components, and assemblies using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, and other electronic test instruments, tools and equipment.
Provide training to the shipboard crews on the operation and maintenance on the radars, consoles and associated ancillary equipment.
Dependable/reliable and willing to work a flexible schedule including overtime.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):
Strong knowledge of electronics theory and application
Strong computer skills
Hold Valid Passport and Driver’s license, and ability to pass a security clearance
A citizen of the United States
Candidates should have Associates Degree or equivalent electronics training and experience in the US Navy or Coast Guard
Have experience as a Planner/Estimator in the development of Combat System and Navigation work packages
Have previous Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience
Must be willing to travel overseas and work with Foreign navies
Have a Secret Clearance
Certified Master Training Specialist
