SUMMARY: The Program Finance Analyst will analyze past and present financial data of multiple programs/projects and estimate future revenues and expenditures accordingly. This position will also monitor and report on performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met. This position works closely with multiple teams and requires strong communication skills as well as knowledge in program finance.


  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual bottoms-up cost and revenue forecasts at a project and organizational level
  • Maintain rolling program forecasts and quarterly outlook
  • Compare and analyze actual results vs. forecast
  • Perform and communicate variance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Prepare reports for monthly and quarterly reviews
  • Prepare monthly subcontractor accruals and maintain accrual reconciliation as needed
  • Advise project managers on project performance
  • Work with project managers, corporate finance and accounting to identify and correct program finance issues
  • Analyze accounting and labor data that drives forecasting
  • Assist Finance Manager in financial reporting requirements to corporate
  • Prepare presentation slide decks for program and organizational financial performance reporting
  • Assists in the development of reports to be used in analysis and presentation of financial data to senior management, PMs and site managers.
  • Working with various stakeholders and teams (contracts, finance, accounting) executive and management clients, peers and serve as a liaison for the project
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • 3-5 years of experience in program finance
  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field or work experience in lieu of degree
  • Intermediate proficiency in excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of revenue recognition
  • Costpoint and Cognos experience


  •  5+ years’ experience in program finance
  •  2+ years’ experience in government contracting
  •  Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field or comparable work experience
  •  Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  •  Basic understanding of US GAAP
  •  Basic understanding of revenue recognition
  •  Prior experience with Estimates at Completion (“EAC”)
  •  Costpoint and Cognos experience desired
