Sr. Program Director
This position will work as part of a dynamic, caring and hopeful team to lead a cohort of school aged services staff ensuring high-quality programs where students experience achievement, belonging and relationships. The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is a fast growing, responsive organization. The senior program director is an high performer in the field with a proven track record of driving quality results in a fast paced, a dynamic and multi-faceted organization and must understand the basic concepts, vision and mission of the YMCA to ensure the successful operation of all facets of these programs and the development of new program initiatives including staff leadership and development, financial development, community relations and collaborations, partnerships and policy, budgeting and financial results.
Under the direction of the Executive Operations, the Sr. Program Director is a leader and driver of the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid South school age services before and after-school programs and summer program initiatives in Shelby County.
Minimum 18 years of age
Bachelor’s degree in education, social work or related field or an equivalent combination of directly related experience, training, and/or
Five (5) or more years of YMCA child care experience or youth development work preferred. Comparable experience in other organizations
may be considered.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing programs (designing, implementing, and evaluating youth development programs)
to include at least two years directly supervising staff.
Knowledge and expertise in Child and Youth Development, programming and DHS
Knowledge of Food Program Requirement is a plus
