Fleet Maintenance - Lead Technician
Supervise Tractor and Trailer technicians on 3rd shift to ensure work is being completed correctly and efficiently. Maintain department standards, ensure work is distributed and completed as directed. Must be able to redirect work according to department guidelines. Provides technical support for technicians, checks progress of each repair, accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing, and all are processed correctly. Monitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety and the condition of shop equipment. Reports problems to the service manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
Class A CDL capable of interpreting a variety of instructions based on the shop
procedures. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions based on logical thinking.
