JOB OVERVIEW

Our dynamic Nurse Aide team is currently in search of a Senior Nurse Supervisor for our Nurse team. To be successful in this position, the Senior Nurse Supervisor must demonstrate a focus on motivating/coaching others and leading by example. They must possess a sense of urgency, responsibility, independence, confidence, self-motivation, and flexibility. They must be detail-oriented and be able to manage a team and multiple projects simultaneously. This position focuses on timely customer service with a keen focus on keeping up to date in this ever-changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of 7+ Senior Nurses; inspire, coach, develop, and motivate them
  • Manage and develop the Nurse Aide Evaluators and Proctors assigned to them
  • Provide operational support to their Nurse Aide Evaluators and Proctors
  • Confirm that their Nurse Aide Evaluators and Proctors consistently provide testing availability in Prometric scheduling systems
  • Confirm that their Nurse Aide Evaluators and Proctors are submitting requests for recruiting new Nurse Aide Evaluators and Proctors and assisting with the interviewing and training when needed
  • Ensure all direct staff is up to date with training and compliance per Prometric requirements
  • Review and approve new test locations as requested
  • Evaluate each assigned Nurse Aide Evaluator and proctor a minimum of once per year or as requested by Prometric
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvements, new approaches, and personal excellence
  • Evaluate each assigned Senior Nurse Aide a minimum of once per year or as requested by Prometric as a senior evaluating an NAE and providing feedback and a Senior running an event as an NAE
  • Communicate key messages effectively to ensure that direct reports are well-informed about issues that may impact them or their customers 
  • Praise and share feedback with direct reports regarding their performance; suggest improvements, changes, or updates when applicable 
  • Work constructively with other functional areas throughout the organization, such as Nurse Aide Operations and Recruiting (others?) to share ideas and leverage best practices 
  • Develop and audit quality assurance measurements to ensure the delivery of world-class service 
  • Be an ambassador for the Prometric culture – role model our values in everything you do 
  • Be a subject matter expert on the Senior Nurse role and the requirements for the different clients/states
  • Work with Human Resources and the management team to document and follow policy and procedure regarding corrective actions if necessary
  • Ensure all Seniors are up to date with training and compliance per Prometric requirements
  • Available to work flexible hours as required
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
SCHEDULE: 3 days, 25-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday 1-2 Saturdays if needed
 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION

  • Registered Nurse with an active and unrestricted license

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years’ experience in a long-term care environment with a minimum of 4 years overall in a leadership position 

SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of staffing requirements to support NAEs and Proctors
  • Result-oriented with a commitment to achieving personal, department, client, and company goals
  •  Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment and maintain focus on key priorities despite conflicting demands 
  • Impactful communication both written and verbal 
  • Ability to build a highly engaged, committed, and empowered team
  • Must possess great people skills with an ability to relate to and motivate people of diverse backgrounds and ages

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel 30 miles or more one way from zip code
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while administering the exam and evaluating candidates (up to as much as 8 hours per event)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (testing mannequin)
