MicroStrategy Architect

Location: Proximity to NYC required for occasional on-site client visits (1-2 times per month).

Job Summary:

As a MicroStrategy Architect, you will lead the development and strategic implementation of MicroStrategy solutions. With a deep understanding of business intelligence, you will be instrumental in the migration of legacy reporting systems to MicroStrategy, ensuring a seamless transition and enhanced decision-making capabilities for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design robust MicroStrategy architecture, ensuring scalability and alignment with business goals.
• Develop comprehensive roadmaps for the migration of existing reports and legacy systems to MicroStrategy.
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of MicroStrategy projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.
• Act as a subject matter expert in MicroStrategy, advising on best practices and innovative solutions.
• Conduct detailed data modeling, creating a semantic layer that reflects business logic and supports complex report development.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Oversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and documents that provide actionable insights to business users.
• Mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
• Perform regular system audits to ensure performance optimization and compliance with data governance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, staying ahead of industry trends and incorporating new technologies when beneficial.
• Liaise with the IT infrastructure team to manage MicroStrategy environments, including upgrade strategies and security considerations.

Requirements:

• At least 9 years of experience with a strong track record in MicroStrategy architecture and business intelligence.
• Demonstrated experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and the creation of semantic layers in MicroStrategy.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, database technologies, and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Certifications in MicroStrategy are highly regarded.
