MicroStrategy Architect
Location: Proximity to NYC required for occasional on-site client visits (1-2 times per month).
Job Summary:
As a MicroStrategy Architect, you will lead the development and strategic implementation of MicroStrategy solutions. With a deep understanding of business intelligence, you will be instrumental in the migration of legacy reporting systems to MicroStrategy, ensuring a seamless transition and enhanced decision-making capabilities for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design robust MicroStrategy architecture, ensuring scalability and alignment with business goals.
- Develop comprehensive roadmaps for the migration of existing reports and legacy systems to MicroStrategy.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of MicroStrategy projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.
- Act as a subject matter expert in MicroStrategy, advising on best practices and innovative solutions.
- Conduct detailed data modeling, creating a semantic layer that reflects business logic and supports complex report development.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Oversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and documents that provide actionable insights to business users.
- Mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure performance optimization and compliance with data governance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, staying ahead of industry trends and incorporating new technologies when beneficial.
- Liaise with the IT infrastructure team to manage MicroStrategy environments, including upgrade strategies and security considerations.
Requirements:
- At least 9 years of experience with a strong track record in MicroStrategy architecture and business intelligence.
- Demonstrated experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and the creation of semantic layers in MicroStrategy.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL, database technologies, and ETL processes.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications in MicroStrategy are highly regarded.
